Basketball Recap: Bluff City Has No Trouble Against Sheffield

Bluff City was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Sheffield on Tuesday. Everything went the Bluff City Gray Wolves' way against the Sheffield Knights as the Bluff City Gray Wolves made off with a 53-29 victory. The win continues a trend for the Gray Wolves in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won five in a row.

Bluff City found their leader in freshman Quinnia Riley, who posted 18 points. Those 18 points set a new season-high mark for Riley. Tamaria Riley also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Despite the loss, Sheffield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Chloe Robinson dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Those 13 points gave Robinson a new career-high. Paris Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bluff City pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Sheffield, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Bluff City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-17 win against Fairley on the 10th. As for Sheffield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-8 victory against Oakhaven on the 6th.
