Baseball Recap: Brainerd Comes Up Short

Brainerd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Brainerd's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Cloud Cathedral, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Coincidentally, Brainerd and St. Cloud Cathedral will both be playing Duluth East the next time they take the field. The Crusaders will head out to face the Greyhounds at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 4:30 p.m.
