Softball Game Preview: Cleveland Eagles vs. Ingraham Rams

The Cleveland Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Ingraham Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cleveland will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Cleveland came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 32-18 to Chief Sealth. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Seahawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Ingraham came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Quakers 18-4. Surprisingly, this marked the Rams' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Ingraham's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.3 runs over those games. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Cleveland might still be hurting after the 26-10 defeat they got from Ingraham when the teams last played back in April. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
