Baseball Recap: Verden Comes Up Short

Verden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-3 to the Ripley Warriors. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly eight runs.

Verden's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Ripley, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.

Verden didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 win against Thomas-Fay-Custer on the 24th. Ripley has also already played their next contest (against Amber-Pocasset), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
