Volleyball Recap: Licking Heights Wins Going Away Against Whetstone

Licking Heights won the last time they faced Whetstone and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hornets put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Licking Heights walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-17, 25-18.

Abrianna Fenton was the offensive standout of the contest as she had four digs and three aces.

Fenton wasn't the only good server: Licking Heights was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Licking Heights' win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Whetstone, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Licking Heights will face off against Watkins Memorial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Whetstone, they will host East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
