Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Starts Season with Win Against Stanhope Elmore

Prattville Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs with a sharp 16-2 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Alivia Messick looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Peyton Thrash was incredible, going a perfect4-for-4 with six RBI, three runs, and three doubles. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (four). Another player making a difference was Saniyah Weaver, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3.

Coming up, Prattville Christian Academy will take on Holtville in a tournament on Friday. As for Stanhope Elmore, they will square off against Opp at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
