Western Beaver extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 7-0. They enjoyed a cozy 27-12 victory over the Ellwood City Wolverine. Those 27 points were actually the fewest the Golden Beavers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

As for Ellwood City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Western Beaver is ranked 93rd).

When it comes to explaining why Ellwood City lost, don't look at Richard Cureton. Despite the final result, he rushed for 77 yards and one score.
