Softball Recap: Clinton Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Clinton's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the East Troy Trojans by a score of 7-3. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 13-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Andie Bell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keylee VanderPahl, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Roehl, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Clinton's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Coming up, Clinton will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. As for East Troy, they will head out to challenge Turner at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
