Basketball Recap: Rocky Mountain Falls Short Against Ranked Lovell

On Friday, Rocky Mountain faced Lovell in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies took a hard 33-19 fall against the Lovell Bulldogs. The Grizzlies have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Lauren Bassett and Keylee Christiansen certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Bassett posted nine points and three steals, while Christiansen had six points. That was a full 47.4% of Rocky Mountain's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Rocky Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Lovell, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Rocky Mountain will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Greybull at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Lovell, they will be playing at home against Cody at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
