Prospect hadn't done well against Elk Grove recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grenadiers, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted against the Grenadiers since May 21, 2021.

Prospect's win bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Elk Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
