Basketball Game Preview: Providence Academy Patriots vs. Haas Hall Academy Mastiff

The Providence Academy Patriots will face off against the Haas Hall Academy Mastiff at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Haas Hall Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Providence Academy, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, it was close, but Providence Academy sidestepped Greenland for a 53-50 victory. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Pirates are ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Haas Hall Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by West Fork and fell 61-15. The contest marked the Mastiff's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Providence Academy has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Haas Hall Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-17.

Everything came up roses for Providence Academy against Haas Hall Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 75-48 win.
