Baseball Recap: Wesleyan Christian Academy's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Wesleyan Christian Academy can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against the Oak Grove Grizzlies by a score of 8-5. The Trojans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Grizzlies, too.

Cole Bowman was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Thompson Holloway was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Wesleyan Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Wesleyan Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Oak Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wesleyan Christian Academy will head out to take on Covenant Day at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Covenant Day's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Wesleyan Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Oak Grove, they are taking a road trip to challenge West Stokes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Stokes will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Oak Grove surely won't give up without a fight.
