Clinton was sadly handed a loss on Thursday, but Andie Bell did her best to prevent it. Bell was dynamite, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Bell and Clinton will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Turner at 5:00 p.m. The Cougars have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since May of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
