Basketball Game Preview: Hope Blue Wave vs. Prout Crusaders

The Hope Blue Wave will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the Prout Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Prout took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hope, who comes in off a win.

Hope will bounce into Friday's contest after beating North Providence, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Hope came out on top against North Providence by a score of 47-38 on Wednesday.

Hope found their leader in sophomore Jorday Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Johnson's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sa-Moni McKay, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Prout came up short against Lincoln School on Tuesday and fell 48-38.

The victory got Hope back to even at 1-1. As for Prout, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
