Soccer Game Preview: Ringgold vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe

Ringgold is 2-8 against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Ringgold is taking a road trip to challenge Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:00 p.m. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ringgold, who comes in off a win.

Ringgold is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand North Murray an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Gracelee Thorton was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe didn't have quite enough to beat Murray County on Tuesday and fell 2-1. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ringgold moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Ringgold might still be hurting after the 4-0 loss they got from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Ringgold avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
