Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oscoda). They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Houghton Lake Bobcats on Thursday. The Owls not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2024 (when they won 17-1).

Crue Wiesenstien made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off two hits. Wiesenstien was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season.

In other batting news, Oscoda got a big performance out of Jhonas Williams, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Williams a new career-high. Logan Williams was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Oscoda always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
