Baseball Recap: Lecanto Takes a Loss

Lecanto was the 5-1 winner over Cypress Creek when they last played one another on March 6th, but their luck changed this time around. Lecanto fell just short of Cypress Creek by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Lecanto saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Czerwinski, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Garrett Pitzer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Lecanto's record is now 4-14. As for Cypress Creek, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Coming up, Lecanto will welcome Nature Coast Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cypress Creek, they will venture away from home to challenge Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
