Softball Recap: Park Vista Comes Up Short

Park Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 9-2 to the IMG Academy None.

Park Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angeline Mergen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Mergen is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played.

Park Vista's record is now 6-13. As for IMG Academy, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Looking ahead, Park Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Newman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.14 runs per game on average), something the Cobras will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for IMG Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Evangelical Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
