Baseball Game Preview: Olympus Titans vs. Brighton Bengals

For the second straight game, Olympus will face off against Brighton. The Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Bengals at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Olympus has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Brighton will arrive with three straight victories.

Brighton hit Olympus with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 6-5.

For Brighton's part, Wilder Strong looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Strong is becoming a predictor of the Bengals' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 5-10 when he doesn't).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jonathon Ellis, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Brighton's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Olympus, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.
