Football Recap: Gulf Buccaneers vs. Fivay Falcons
Gulf was the 55-14 winner over Fivay when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Gulf Buccaneers fell just short of the Fivay Falcons by a score of 22-19 on Friday. The contest marked the Buccaneers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
When it comes to explaining why Gulf lost, don't look at Antonio Muniz. Despite the final result, he rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards Muniz has posted since back in November of 2023.
Even though they lost, Gulf was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fivay only rushed for 65.
