Soccer Game Preview: Horizon vs. Smoky Hill

The Horizon Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Smoky Hill Buffaloes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Horizon's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Horizon is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Poudre on Thursday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Smoky Hill was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Mountain Range by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Buffaloes couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Phoebe Mckean, who's now up to two this season.

Smoky Hill now has a losing record of 2-3. With that draw, Horizon's record moves to 1-1-1.

Horizon beat Smoky Hill 4-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2018. Will Horizon repeat their success, or does Smoky Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
