Soccer Game Preview: Charlottesville vs. Jamestown

The Charlottesville Black Knights will face off against the Jamestown Eagles at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Charlottesville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They never let Broad Run get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Jamestown came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Mustangs as they made off with a 4-0 win. Considering Jamestown have won nine matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Mechanicsville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Travis Smith, Charlie Patterson, Edwin Flores, and Tyson Mundy.

Charlottesville's victory bumped their record up to 18-2-1. As for Jamestown, their win bumped their record up to 16-1-3.

Charlottesville couldn't quite get it done against Jamestown when the teams last played back in June of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Black Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
