Basketball Recap: Seguin Matadors vs. Brenham Cubs
Seguin's tournament run continued when they took on Brenham on Saturday. The Seguin Matadors received a blow as they fell 57-38 to the Brenham Cubs. While losing is never fun, the Matadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 888th, while the Cubs are ranked 303rd).

Despite the loss, Seguin still got an impressive performance from Corey Dailey, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. What's more, Dailey also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2023.
