Softball Game Preview: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Clinton Gaels

The Bellingham Blackhawks will venture away from home to face off against the Clinton Gaels at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Wednesday, Bellingham came up short against Medfield and fell 6-3. The Blackhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trista Corshia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Bellingham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Skarin, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Clinton can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Sunday. They won by a run and slipped past Oakmont Regional 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gaels have posted since March 31st.

Bellingham's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
