Western Plains entered their tilt with Pawnee Heights on Saturday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Bobcats' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Western Plains had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Anna Kraus paced Western Plains' offense, picking up six kills. Kraus got some help from Chloe Briand and her 12 assists. Briand was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Western Plains' victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Pawnee Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-15.

Coming up, Western Plains will be playing at home against Triplains on Tuesday. As for Pawnee Heights, they will head out on the road to face off against Satanta on Tuesday.
