Central/Southeastern had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29.8 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-48 win over the Palmyra Panthers. Given Central/Southeastern's advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 19th in Illinois, while Palmyra is ranked 110th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central/Southeastern's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Palmyra, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Coming up, Central/Southeastern will face off against Hamilton/Warsaw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
