Recap: Dayspring Christian Academy Lions vs. Temple Christian Crusaders
The Dayspring Christian Academy Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 44-33 victory over Temple Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dayspring Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Temple Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Alyssa Conner, who scored 12 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Catalina Lyttle, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Dayspring Christian Academy's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. As for Temple Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayspring Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Westover Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Temple Christian, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome New Covenant at 5:00 p.m. on February 12th.
