Baseball Recap: Coahoma County Comes Up Short

Coahoma County is still winless after their game against North Panola on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cougars. Even if the Red Panthers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Coahoma County's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for North Panola, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Coahoma County has already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Rosa Fort on the 11th. As for North Panola, they will head out to square off against Delta Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
