Basketball Recap: Moran Comes Up Short

Moran played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 70-24 loss at the hands of the Bluff Dale Bobcats. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-11.

Despite the loss, Moran still got an impressive performance from Ellis Hise, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. That was a full 50% of Moran's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

Bluff Dale found their leader in freshman Isaiah Knight, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knight has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Stewart, who went 8 of 11 on his way to 16 points.

Moran has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Bluff Dale, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Moran didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-8 defeat against Newcastle on the 7th. As for Bluff Dale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-40 loss against Huckabay on the 7th.
