Soccer Game Preview: Ripon vs. Hilmar

Ripon hasn't had much luck against Hilmar recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Ripon Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Hilmar Yellowjackets at 3:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Wednesday, Ripon didn't have quite enough to beat Escalon and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Hilmar didn't have quite enough to beat Hughson on Tuesday and fell 2-1. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hilmar's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Ripon, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 9-8-1.

Ripon came up short against Hilmar when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Ripon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
