Recap: Valley View Cougars vs. Berwick Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Scranton Prep, The Valley View Cougars were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 12-7 W over Berwick. Given Valley View's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Berwick is ranked 310th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Valley View to victory were Preston Reed and Camryn Higgins. Reed rushed for 70 yards on only six carries, while Higgins rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Berwick, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-8.
Valley View will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wyoming Area at 7:00 p.m. Berwick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
