Volleyball Game Preview: San Lorenzo Valley Cougars vs. Scotts Valley Falcons

The San Lorenzo Valley Cougars will square off against the Scotts Valley Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Lorenzo Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Scotts Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, San Lorenzo Valley turned things around against Aptos on Tuesday. They blew past the Mariners 3-0.

San Lorenzo Valley not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Aptos between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Scotts Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Harbor, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-13.

Scotts Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for San Lorenzo Valley, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.
