Basketball Game Preview: Hawkinsville Red Devils vs. Treutlen Vikings

Hawkinsville hasn't had much luck against Treutlen recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hawkinsville Red Devils will face off against the Treutlen Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Hawkinsville sitting on three straight wins and Treutlen on seven.

Hawkinsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Dooly County 84-39. With the Red Devils ahead 54-24 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Bryson Singletary continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 15 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Nieem Blair, who posted 13 points and seven steals.

Meanwhile, Treutlen humbled Montgomery County with an 84-57 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season.

Hawkinsville now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Treutlen, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Hawkinsville beat Treutlen 75-68 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hawkinsville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
