Football Recap: Homer-Center's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Homer-Center lost against Marion Center back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats took a hard 20-6 fall against the Stingers. The loss put an end to the Wildcats' undefeated start to the season.

Carson Arone threw for 57 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Connor Deyarmin rushed for 28 yards.

Marion Center's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden Rising, who threw for 171 yards and a pair of TDs, and also punched in one rushing score. 92 of Rising's passing yards were hauled in by Alec Brudnock, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Homer-Center fell to 2-1. As for Marion Center, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Homer-Center has already played their next contest, a 38-14 victory against Penns Manor on the 12th. As for Marion Center, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-25 win against Cambria Heights on the 12th.
