Basketball Recap: Cabrini Comes Up Short

If Cabrini was riding high fresh off their 61-33 takedown of Universal Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cabrini Monarchs came up short against the Shrine Catholic Knights on Thursday, falling 66-45. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last nine times they've met.

Cabrini's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Shrine Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cabrini will venture away from home to square off against Cardinal Mooney Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cabrini is facing Cardinal Mooney Catholic at the right time seeing as Cardinal Mooney Catholic is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Shrine Catholic will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Lamphere at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th.
