Softball Recap: Winston County Takes a Loss

Winston County and Cold Springs squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Winston County had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Winston County's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12. As for Cold Springs, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-18-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Winston County by a score of 11-1 later that day.
