Basketball Recap: Lowndes Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Lowndes lost against Valdosta two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lowndes Vikings took a 61-45 bruising from the Valdosta Wildcats.

Lowndes' loss came despite strong showings from Isaiah Camon and Kaden Martin. Camon went 7 of 14 en route to 18 points, while Martin almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Camon has posted since back in February of 2024. Dallas Montgomery was another key player, putting up seven points.

It was another big night for Jabarri Williams, who went 7 for 17 on his way to 22 points and six assists for Valdosta. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Valdosta's points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Brown, who went 5 of 10 en route to 13 points and five boards.

Lowndes' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Valdosta, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lowndes has already played their next contest (against Colquitt County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Valdosta has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Camden County.
