Soccer Recap: Lawrence County Takes a Loss

Lawrence County's tournament run continued when they took on Franklin Christian Academy on Sunday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Lawrence County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 107th in Kentucky, while Franklin Christian Academy are ranked first in Tennessee).

This is the second loss in a row for Lawrence County and nudges their season record down to 5-6-1. As for Franklin Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5-1.

Coming up, Lawrence County will welcome Belfry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklin Christian Academy, they will face off against Grace Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Christian Academy will be up against Grace Christian Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.33 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
