Basketball Recap: One Accord Christian Academy Lions vs. Heritage Prep Praetorians
One Accord Christian Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Heritage Prep Praetorians by a score of 55-53. The game was a 29-29 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.
Heritage Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Joel Sims out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 steals. Sims is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ezell Pringle, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds.
The victory made it two in a row for Heritage Prep and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
One Accord Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage Prep, they have the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome HEART HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
