Basketball Recap: Hardin-Jefferson's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Hardin-Jefferson's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They strolled past the Aldine Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Hardin-Jefferson was led to victory by Cordell Lowe and Aiden Price. Lowe went 6-for-14 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and three steals, while Price shot 50% from the field to rack up 20 points and four steals. The Hawks are 2-1 when Price posts 15 or more points, but 0-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhavon Williams, who posted seven points.

Hardin-Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Aldine, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Hardin-Jefferson has already played their next contest, a 61-54 victory against Goose Creek Memorial on the 5th. As for Aldine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 90-29 defeat against Beaumont United on the 4th.
