Basketball Recap: Foothill Extends Winning Streak to Two

Foothill won the last time they faced West, and Fernando Sarabia did his part to make sure it happened again. The Foothill Trojans strolled past the West Vikings with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 65-51 thanks in part to Sarabia, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds. Those 17 boards gave him a new career-high.

Giovani Cruz was another key player, going 6 of 15 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Foothill and bumps their season record up to 6-15. As for West, they dropped their record down to 1-22 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Foothill will head out to take on Del Oro at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Del Oro knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Foothill likes a good challenge. As for West, they will take on Tehachapi at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
