Softball Recap: North East Carolina Prep Takes a Loss

North East Carolina Prep lost against Gates County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Husky lost 13-2 to the Red Barons.

North East Carolina Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Boyette, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

North East Carolina Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gates County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North East Carolina Prep will square off against Hertford County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gates County, they will host Bertie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.8 runs per game on average), something the Red Barons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
