Volleyball Game Preview: Joliet Central Steelmen vs. Providence Catholic Celtics

Joliet Central is 0-3 against Providence Catholic since June of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Steelmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Celtics at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Joliet Central is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shepard.

Joliet Central may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 20 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Providence Catholic came up short against Brother Rice on Tuesday and fell 2-0. The Celtics have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

While Providence Catholic was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-17.

Joliet Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Providence Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
