Baseball Game Preview: Petrolia Pirates vs. Archer City Wildcats

The Petrolia Pirates will take on the Archer City Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Petrolia's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Nocona as Petrolia made off with a 9-0 win. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Pirates this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Archer City faced off against Pilot Point last Friday. Archer City narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Pilot Point 6-5.

The win got Petrolia back to even at 5-5-4. As for Archer City, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Petrolia beat Archer City 9-5 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Will Petrolia repeat their success, or does Archer City have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
