Baseball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the North East Carolina Prep Husky. That's two games in a row now that the Seahawks have lost by just one run.

Southside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for North East Carolina Prep, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside will venture away from home to take on Greene Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for North East Carolina Prep, they will head out to square off against Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin County will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something North East Carolina Prep surely won't give up without a fight.
