Pacifica owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They came out on top against the Agoura Chargers by a score of 3-0. For the Mariners, this counts as revenge for the 6-2 win the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2017.

Ellena Ediss looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Leyla Ayres was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Mattea Stern also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Pacifica's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Agoura, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Pacifica will face off against Millikan at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Pacifica: 3.2, Millikan: 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Agoura, they will square off against Chino Hills at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Chino Hills' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Agoura's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
