With a playoff win on the line, Anthony Wayne rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Big Walnut Golden Eagles 3-0. The Generals are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 21 straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Anthony Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jessie Kennelly, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, Kennelly racked up six assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Kennelly wasn't the only good servers: Anthony Wayne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive matches.

Anthony Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Big Walnut, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Anthony Wayne and Mount Notre Dame will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Big Walnut does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
