Recap: Cambria Heights Highlanders vs. Northern Cambria Colts
The Northern Cambria Colts typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday the Cambria Heights Highlanders proved too difficult a challenge. Cambria Heights came out on top against Northern Cambria by a score of 21-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cambria Heights.
Isaac Weiland threw for 169 yards and a touchdown on only 16 passes. Stephen Nelen was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Luke Mulraney rushed for 41 yards.
When it comes to explaining why Northern Cambria lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jack Sheredy. Despite the final result, he rushed for 156 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Sheredy really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
Cambria Heights has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Northern Cambria, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.
Cambria Heights will head out on the road to face off against Purchase Line at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northern Cambria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
