Softball Recap: Belton Wins Going Away Against Chaparral

While Belton put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Chaparral. The Tigers blew past the Bobcats 11-0. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Tara Stone's shutout, as she gave up just five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Andalyn Logan was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Schutz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Belton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chaparral only posted a batting average of .238.

Belton's record is now 10-14. As for Chaparral, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton will head out to take on Ellison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chaparral, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Belton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
