Football Recap: Vacaville Bulldogs vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies
Vacaville and Granite Bay squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Vacaville had to settle for second. They took an 18-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Granite Bay Grizzlies. The Bulldogs were red-hot offensively headed into the game (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matches prior) but the Grizzlies' defense proved too tough.

It was another big night for Lillian McDaniel, who threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 57 yards on only seven carries for Granite Bay. Gianna Al-Shaikh got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Vacaville moved to 23-3 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak. As for Granite Bay, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.
Vacaville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Granite Bay has already played their next matchup, a 34-0 defeat against Oak Ridge on the 6th.
